Frankly speaking, if it makes the believers happy by donating to the church, then so be it. IMHO, it's their moolah, not ours. They can do whatever they want as they deemed fit.

I am rather neutral to this issue.

My only advice for them is, they shouldn't donate blindly or the fact they are seeing other people donate.
