Lotus Children Centre, an orphanage, home to 148 children, is located at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Lotus is a NGO that relies solely on public donations and volunteers for its day-to-day operations and activities. Last year, Venturing Asia (VA) sent a team from Singapore to work on some of the centres buildings. We believe in the continuity of our engagement in our chosen community and projects, hence we are sending another team this year to assist in the childrens summer camp at the National Park, Terelj.
VA is seeking 1016 spirited participants between 23-55 years, in good health, physically able and fit, and with a good sense of humour when unexpected situations arise! You can expect to rough it with simple accommodation, simple meals, and truly being exposed to the Mongolian environment. Each participant will need to contribute about $2,700 to this two week trip which will cover accommodation, basic meals, transportation, visa application, airfare, travel insurance, contribution to the project and R&R.
