How to use IR 850 filter ?

Hi camera fans,

I have some problem regeating filter. What is the setting had to be done before take a photo using IR 850 filter. Cause I took one photo on a sunny day, i set the camera speed to bulb and hold for 3 minutes but the photo turn out orange with the picture.
Please advise me on how to use or setting that need to be done.

Did you set the correct wb??
If i not wrong for ir, if you didn't set the wb you will get all sorts of weird colors.

You need to set your whitebalance too. Read the FAQ in the IR section, and the numerous guides and videos online.

If in doubt, join the next IR outing.
