I had a Metz 54 Flash, I do not know how to fully utilize the function of this flash. (I have the manual but do not understand most of the instructions in it)

Is there a member who uses this flash?

Can I meet up with you so that you can teach me how to use it?

I'll buy you lunch, dinner or coffee....
If you are not very free, I can also drive up to your place and maybe you can give me a quick 10mins tution?

Thank you

Hi,

I am sure there should be the Auto, Manual and TTL/iTTL/ETTL/DTTL/etc etc model of flash. Auto means Auto, the flash will set the flash power according to the environment, Manual means you have to set them yourself with variable zoom, power and frequency. There should also be a pullout from the flash itself that acts as a diffuser that will allow a wider zoom like 17mm or so range. It will also acts as a softener to soften the flash power and reduces harsh flash.

The flash is just the flash, you can either add a bounce card to bounce the flash at 45 degree, or bounce the flash to ceiling or whatever you like to create a better picture. Or get a cord to hold it in your left hand while your right hand compose the picture. There are 101 ways to use it, more than the manual can say, it is up to you to experiment it.

I also looked up for some answers to my questions here earlier back, but no one can answer. Then I realised that if I check up what I need and ask the seller what to do, I will get the instant answer.

My main problem is setting the modes, I only know how to use the Auto mode.

Can't seems to be able to get the ETTL and TTL working.

Therefore hope that there will be some kind hearts that could show me hands on demo..
