How to tweak this photo?

Hi guys,

I recently took a pic of Mt Fuji, but the air was not too clear so I could not get a clear shot. How can I tweak it so Fuji becomes clearer? It's right there in the background.

Better?

Your shot was taken from the plane window plus there is too much pollution in the air which cause some loss of light. Plus you shot on JPEG and resolution was low. So not much can be done.

USM, 100%, 250px, 1 followed by a slight curves adjustment to bring down midtones slightly.

No, it was not taken from the plane lol, it was taken in the Govt. building in Shinjuku.

selected top portion, did a feather of 50 pixels, then shift select part of the mountain, before adjusting contrast using curves.
