How to take sunset landscape

I'm facing the problem of either the "land" part being underexposed to get tky properly exposed, or the sky being over exposed to get the land in correct exposure. How do i go about exposing both elements properly?

eh.. but that's the easiest in terms of total time spent on the pic... much less PP needed...
so if u have time in the field, use grad nd when possible...
if not, bracket shots and combine normally or with hdr...
do note hdr produces more surreal effects...
 

Wait for the sun to set somemore till the brightness is around the same for both sky and ground.

But the window is going to be very short. Treasure every moment.
