How to take silhouette pictures

I tried to take take silhouette pictures but failed badly.

May I know what settings do I need? And how can i take great silhouette pictures.

use spot metering

meter for sky, very simple, just 0 ev will do

the question is, what settings are you using, and think of why,.

why you understand what the settings do, then you won't have to ask anything in the long run, you can experiment, and then find out yourself
