I got my 350D a month+ ago, now I am not using it as frequently
as I used to do, so it is in my dry box now. I want to know,
1) What are the parts on the body that are most prone to failure?
And how to take care of them?
2) How long is the life span of 350D/300D? Assuming not upgrading
for a few years.
3) What are the tricks people do to keep the exterior 'as new' even
they use their cameras frequently?

Thank you.

trust me or not....the best maintanence is to use it....don't keep it in the cabinet. It will cry.

Worst case I can do is once every weekend.

use it as often as you can. when not in use, put in in your dry box to prevent fungal growth on the cam and lenses.

for other maintenance tips, check your camera's manual.
