As the topic above. How to go about doing it and what software is needed. Can this be done in photoshop CS?

ThanKs in advance for those who replied.

CS has photomerge.

You can just simply edit the pics in PS if you don't have CS or any plugins. Its very simple and not time consuming. Important thing is the pictures to be stiched must be taken well (same exposure, WB).

ThanKs for the many replies........... :)

I dont noe about PS CS, but dedicated pano software (inc. panorama factory) can actually twist your photos to fit, as well as make some adjustments to your exposure settings and so on.

I am using Arcsoft Panorama Maker. You can easily find these from downloads.com, but many of them are shareware.

don't think it is in PS7, must use PS CS.

You can do panos in PS7 pretty easily.. roughly as follows

1 open (say) 2 photos you want to stitch.
2 Take 1st Photo and under Image> Canvas size addmore canvas (say to the left) using the Relative position buttons and typing in extra size needed.. it can be trimmed later if too much.
3 Open second photo and Copy second photo (Ctrl C on PC Command C on Mac). Then re-open 1st Photo and paste (Ctrl V). This copies second photo onto its own new layer. Decrease the opacity of the second layer to about 70%. This allows you to see through to first layer. then use Move to align (You will need to use Transform if any sizing problems but too long to go into here.)
4 Now to match up colours etc .. Select layer2 (The 2nd photo) and choose Channels. 1st Select red channel only and Image turns greyscale. Select levels and fade middle slider until both halves match. Then do same individually with the green and blue channels. When you go back to RGB - Voila !! .. though clone tool may also help if any areas still look obviously stitched.. Stroma
