Hi, a question here. I've recently bought a second hand Fancier Professional Tripod from another CS member. Then, I purchased a Manfrotto 486RC2 ballhead to replace the original head. However, I have some difficulty in removing the original ball head from the tripod. The ballhead itself can be easily removed using a Allen key and unscrewing the tightening screw. Basically, I couldn't remove the baseplate from the center column, hence cannot mount my Manfrotto head on the tripod.

Either it's too tight, or I am turning the wrong stuff. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Anyone has experience to share? Thanks a lot!

try turning harder. i had no problems removing mine.

Ok. But I wanna confirm the direction. I assuming the ballhead (while pointing upwards, leg downwards) should be turned anti clock wise, am I right?

yep. lock your ballhead so it doesnt move, and turn it anti clockwise. it will come off. mine comes off quite nicely. i juz tried again. =)
