Not at all actually... So long as you make sure that you let the camera body cool down, you can then just brush the snow away. It won't melt in time.

Been through snow and hail on Kilimanjaro with my cam and there was no problem at all.

Thanks for the link.

One of the worry is the condensation inside the camera. The link was metion "Wrapped camera in a soft plastic material" not sure what does it mean by soft plastic material, but is that really help?

From my experience, snow flies around from left and from right and from top, and when snow hit yr camera or lens, it will melts gradually, and becomes water droplets, so before the snow melts u should wipe it away as much as u can. The best is still using a rain jacket, cheap one will do, or get a cheapo plastic bag to cover. It will also help to reduce a bit the condensation and fogging effect when u walk from outdoor (cold) to indoor (hot).

As an alternative, you can try these. Cathay sells them, so does John 3:16 (think John 3:16 can get it cheaper...not entirely sure though.)

try these? sorry, what is these that sell at Cathay and John 3:16? thanks
