What is the correct pronunciation for the word “bokeh or boke” which refers to the out of focus areas of a photograph? I had been pronouncing it like the French word “bouquet” until I was informed that that was incorrect.

It's a Japanese word. Pronounce it as 'bo-keh'. Literally means fuzziness or dizziness. In lay man's term, it describes the appearance or "feel" of out-of-focus backgrounds and foregrounds.
