Hi

I am going to get an M39 lens soon, the first version of Helios 44. Unfortunately, it is a M39 lens. As my understanding and some google search, I found that it will be loosing infinity focus and pretty much become a closeup/macro lens. Is there any way to make this lens work perfectly on Pentax, like other M42 lenses?

Many thanks

there're two types of M39 lens:
1. M39 lens for rangefinder camera
2. M39 lens for SLR camera

for the first one, you will need to buy an adapter with correcting optics
for the second one, you will need to buy a m39-m42 mount adapter, and use it as you use your m42 lenses.
