How to merge 3photos to 1photo?

regardless of RAW or JPEG, how to merge them overlapping into one photo?

i read a book in the library, it uses auto exposure to take 3~4 photo(same frame) with different exposure, & merge them into one. (Bracketing)

the effect was rather nice.

Is there any software to do it?
Lightroom? CS4?

i believe u are referring to HDR?

it shows the highlights as well as the shadows.. rite?

u need to use a separate software.
Photomatix Pro i believe the current version is 3.2

i find the results are quite amazing

definitely..but dun over use it. haha.
it works best for pictures with a wide dynamic range.
u should get photomatix..alot easier than using photoshop..

You can try up to 8 exposure. But becareful with the colours
