How to make fake snow for photography?

I want to shoot some Christmas ornaments on snow. Anyone has any idea how to make fake snow?

Try salt, heard from friends that an Art Director used that many years ago to stimulate it as snow. Either that or try those snow sprays.

I have a close look at a Christmas product ad. The snow looked like salt to me. I am going to get the coarser sea salt mixed with table salt to fake snow.

Powder snow and snow flakes are very very hard to create. But slush snow can be blended ice. If I am not wrong, there are fake snow for sale in some countries and those are make of polymer or something. It wont melt and may be perfect for photography. Go google and do a mail order. Do update up on your result.
