The other method people use is the exact opposite - exhale and before inhaling again take the shot. It’s amazing how much a body rises and falls simply by breathing - being conscious of it can give you an edge."

For those who wants a more steady hold and dont like to use tripod, this may be a good solution. I have yet to try it out but the theory seem to work.

basically, if you are going to be using the lcd monitor to frame your shots, there will be more handshake than using the viewfinder. This is because your hands will be extended and will thus be harder keep still.
Even with conventional cameras where framing is through the viewfinder, a good practice is to tuck your arms firmly into your body.

i thought holding a camera is up to individual?ie portrait or landscape?but i prefer a tripod to take.super stable

keep elbows close to body, hold handgrip and make sure viewfinder is supported by forehead, take a breath, hold breath, shoot, release breath, done.
