How to get rid of files listed in Win XP "My Recent Documents" ?

As above. Instead of deleting the files one by one, any faster way to do it ?

If you're using WinXP:

1) Right click an empty space on your windows taskbar
2) Click on "Properties"
3) Click the "Start Menu" tab
4) Click "Customize"
5) Click "Advanced"
6) Click "Clear List"

Thanks imaginary_number and majere2sg for the super fast responses. One more question on Win XP, how to create a password for computer start up?

ie. the password which the PC will ask for the moment after I switch on the PC.

you can set it in your bios, but it is not fool proof.. resetting the bios erases the password.. ( i think) :think:

the monent start up type is set in bios.
press del to enter when the computer start up.

the 1 vincentt_whale suggest is for the windows, go to control panel -> users account and i'm sure you will know what to do by then


depends on which 1 you want.

actually by removing the battery will erase the password... along with all the settings.
