Loneliness your silent whisper
Fills river of tears through the night
Memory you never let me cry
And you, you never said good-bye
Sometimes our tears blinded the love
We lost our dreams along the way
But I never thought
You’d trade your soul to the fates
Never thought you’d leave me alone

Time through the rain has set me free
Sands of time will keep your memory
Love everlasting fades away
Alive within your beatless heart

Dry your tears with love
Dry your tears with love

Remember if old one don't go, new one cannot come. It will be a blessing in disguise because you will find someone much better than her. ;)
actually i totally hate the phrase 'you will find someone better'
that's a totally irresponsible statement.
it's not a consolation or wadevah of any sort.
wat if he ended up NOT finding someone better or any other person? can the person who said that statement do anything to help? NO!

let it go lah dude. life goes on.

From what I know about the gf, I would say it's quite easy to find a better gf... and Alan is such a nice guy, there will be girls out there that appreciates him more. :) But then, you don't love someone because you think she is a good gf... but still, just look forward to the future.

Pal, One door closes, another one opens. If you truly love somebody, set them free, don't clip their wings....Seeing your loved ones happy is truly the greatest love of all.. I have been in your shoes once before and took me a while to realise that...

PS: Easier said than done..I know but you gotta be strong, dude..Learn to let go..

Just want to say, I has a similar experience. Well not that similar and I'm still coming into terms with it...

Came across this poem from ST reporter : Janice Wong's website;

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon.
I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow
if you have been opened by life’s betrayals
or have become shrivelled and closed
from fear of further pain.

It doesn’t interest me who you know.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire with me
and not shrink back.

I want to know if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it or fix it.

It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you from the inside
when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon: “Yes.”[/CENTER
