How to get into wedding photography?

How do u get into wedding photography?

Most people arnt going to want to hire someone who has never done any wedding shoots before, so is the best way to tag along as an apprentice with some seasoned pro and learn and expand portfolio then try and go solo? :dunno:

Any other ways?

another way is to shoot for ya fwen who is getting married....as backup to the main photog he employed...and pick up from there...procedures and all...u build up some kind of a portfolio at the same time...

i dont know anyone friend/relative getting married, otherwise that would have been a good idea
