How to edit EXIF

For some strange reason, a recent match of photos I downloaded on Nikon Transfer had the wrong date. It had reversed the month and day. However, when I tried to replicate the issue, it seems to have resolved itself.

However, in the meantime, I have a batch of photos with the wrong date. Any tips on how to rectify the EXIF data? Cos I sort my photos by date.
