hi,

wanna ask the techies out there how to make a poster using photoshop?

:dunno:

I wanna include various photos, text into the poster, but seems like i can't really navigate my way around inserting images.

I have always used the photoshop just to alter the image, thats all.

yah, i don't have pagemaker, so that takes the easy way out away...

cheers. :sweatsm:

You can just open the images in another window, copy and paste it into your current working file. They will be pasted as seperate layers, where you can play around with filters, styles etc.

;)

thanks!

so it means that i just open a new file with nothing on it, and paste the images on the new file?

sounds easy though...

Yes, that's a good start. It's fun and easy! ;)

What kind of dpi level should I be aiming for with a 1.5 m long poster? Would 300 dpi do?

300 dpi would be good, but it's not likely your target audience will look at the banner from 1 foot away... ;)

200 dpi will save you a massive lot of storage. and yes, a banner can be done using 512mb ram installed. :)
