How to convert files from png to jpg in CS?

- I combined 2 smaller psd files into 1 file
- tried saving as jpg....but can only save as tiff or png.

anyone know why??

You need to flatten it, and without and channel layer.

I already flatten it but still can't save as jpg... :embrass:
OT, does photolab accept png files??

check your colour mode... you might be in indexed colour. change to RGB and you should be able to save...

Nope, colour is in RGB but in 16bit...does it matter??
not sure what I've done wrong...

basically, I tried to paste 2 psd files into a new layout (3000 x 2400)
after some editing, try to save as jpg but can't... only option are (png, psd, tiff etc...)

That's the problem, u need to convert to 8bit mode before u can save as jpeg.

Yepz, Zerstorer is right. The fault lies with the bit depth.
