I'm eyeing a used nikon AF-S 70-200 VR lens from a store at peninsula.
but how do I check the lens, what do i need to look for other than the usual (try it out on my camera, inspect the lens etc.)? any tips & tricks to make sure it's not faulty?

with the same price, I'm still considering the used Nikon lens vs. a new Sigma. any thoughts?

thanks.

1) Look through the lens (dismounted) and at a light source (or bring a torch light) so you can clearly see the front and rear elements (glass) with the maximum aperture. Remember to remove the front filter first.

You gonna look through from the rear, push the aperture plate at the rear it will open up the aperture blade. You look in from the rear, point the torch from the front. The rest just look through the link is kinda cover everything you need.

thanks v.much guys.
i tried to search for it but i guess i didn't put in the correct tag.
anyway, thanks again.

And also, the price in BnS is lower than shops outside
