Canon has an EF 1200mm f5.6L lens, complete with it's own carrying handle. It is a special order item from Canon Japan only.

How much do you think this monster of a lens costs?

Please don't post the answer straightaway if you know... let others guess first!

I am very sure it won't cost as much as a harbor telescope, so can I still answer your question?:p

My guess: US$25,000

SO...what's the answer? I vote already...

Recently found out that the Schneider 160-240mm for Medium format camera cost over RM100k...I am surprised someone dare to buy it...

Sorry, it is supposed to be the 140-280mm lens.

1200mm is the maximum? Definitely cost of a bomb.

I believe it costs around Sing$200,000. I was told this by a Canon rep when he brought the lens for a demo to NUS last year. Anyone remember this? It was supported by two fat sturdy tripods.
