You have a wide angle lens with 2 telephoto lens. You are not lacking any distance coverage, but you are lacking in good quality, good bokeh lens F/2.8 or higher.

As you can see, you are most probably going to end up collecting lenses.... whatever you have now is good enough for daily picture taking. Whats important is that do you find the current setup you have inferior in anyway? If you do, then buy lenses that overcome these issues you have with them. However, I would suggest a flash unit possible a 430EXII or 580EXII to your current setup. The word you used is "event" and that many of you lenses do not work well in low light conditions. a flash unit would take you many notches higher. Do consider that upgrade.

Judging from your lineup, maybe add an f2.8 zoom or two, for lowlight situations.

you are missing a ultra wide angle, super telephoto, macro, tilt shift and fish eye

but for events, normally 1 or 2 lens is enough
i guess you are shooting DX format

fast zooms is the most versatile for events

no matter how many lenses you own, you would always feel that you're lack of one lens... that's how the collection add up...

Usually 3 lenses is all you need. My recommended list for beginners using cropped sensor would be:

Wide Angle: 10-22 or 11-16
Portrait and Low light: 50mm 1.8 or 1.4
Tele: 70-200 f/4 or 55-250

I'm using 4 myself on full frame body:

Wide: 16-35
Primes: 50 1.4, 90 2.8 TSE, 135 2.0

Ditched tele zoom as I almost never use it

I'm using a full frame camera, but I find that 16-35, 24-70, and 70-200 gives me all the range i need. If you're shooting sports or wildlife, you'll need something longer than 200 (or an extender if you like live with the image quality degradation and light loss).

I don't feel a need for primes. f/2.8 is fast enough for me in all situations, and the zooms are adequately sharp. I have a cheap-o 50mm f/1.8 just to play around with, but very rarely use it outside the house.

actually what you have are enough if you have a decent flash. Its only when no flash is allowed you might want to consider something like the tamron 17-50 f2.8 + sigma 70-200 f2.8 if on a budget.

I concur with the above statement. sharpness and all the other jargons are one thing. current setup with a flash is good enough for most situations.:thumbsup:
