Just want to know the general trend.

About 10 months, still a newbie :embrass: .
Although got P&S film and Digital prosumer camera long time ago, but only last year then get more interest in it.

Got my first camera, a range-finder in the early 70s. Got interested since 15 years of age, am still going strong man....

Same. I also got interested around 14. That was during the late 80s, so things have already changed... and is still changing....
Early 70s, I probably wasn't born yet.. hahaha..

I started roughly around 6 months ago, although have taken some photos casually before that.

Also started with a compact when I was 15, upgraded to an SLR (Minolta x300si) when I was in my early 20s, stopped for a few years then got an EOS500N until it died, then got an EOS88 early last year and finally went digital in Sept 2005.

Started 16 yrs ago but only got serious last year, so still quite newbie.

1973, my first camera, a Mamiya 6

A dream will comes true when all those who had taken up this
fantastic idea of capturing images for more than 15 years to come
and sit by the wayside uptown to sip coffee watching the setting
sun recounting our experiences. Anyone?

lets see...

normally i take a pic @ 1/125sec = 0.48sec

on average i take = 100 pics every fortnite

i join roughly 2 shoots a mth = 200 pics

actual time i spent taking pics per mth = 96sec

been shooting since dec 02 = 24 mths (not including 06)

total time i've been into photography = 2304 sec ~ 38.4 mins

*this is a tongue-in-cheek calculation, inspiration from Bryan Peterson.* :p

If you are a newbie, then most of us will be babies!!:bsmilie:

Haha category falls into more than 25 years but that means still trying to understand histogram, CCD, CMOS, Bending, curves, SWM, VR, new software etc etc. Don't know when will end leh

Just three years...lots of learning to do, and lots to catch up on.

Hey, those who have been in photography longer doesn't mean that they are better. Everyone is still learning. My dad was my shifu, taught me darkroom back then, now I'm trying to teach him some digital image manipulation. 10 years back he envisage that photos should be edited on PCs and not spending so much time groping in the dark, (no red light because we did colour). :) Now it has come true..
