How does a newbie like me, achieve such clarity and definition in a photo?

Can I clarify smthing? You do know that the D70 has 6mp, underexpose by default, green cast tt smudge images rite? haha...

just to share,I have customized my own curve and also work flow to try to counter the limitation of the D70 to get more clarity...
So far, this is the best I can adjust for my D70..for your reference...probably you can try this out some of this to "improve" your clarity...

D70 + 18-55mm f3.5-5.6
