if not possible then will have to live with the possibility of stuff getting stolen or damaged if checked in... pelican type cases would be good for protecting strobes but would be advertisement for thieves... for stands and other odd sized stuff, have to use soft or padded cases/bags, but even these might not protect the equipment if some idiot decides to throw a large metal rimowa or some other heavy case on top of it... buy sufficient insurance cover and hope for the best...
