I'm new to Photography and I'm using D5000 with my kit lens .
What settings should I change and adjust ? Guide me please

you can try searching the net regarding long exposures. i've done the same for panning shots.

Long shutter + waving sparklers around

Try googling for "light trails" or "light painting"

understand exposure

this is achieved with a long exposure and someone waving sparklers around.

to do this, you need low ambient light, i.e. night conditions with artificial lighting, where the sparklers will be relatively bright, and exposure timing will have to be long in the first place for good exposure.

You can tell the photog also hand-held the shot. Look at all the handshake blur. A tripod would work well too, but that depends on the effect you want.

low iso, long exposure(i'm guessing 5-8sc or bulb here??) and a tripod

long exposure + good artist. LOL best to take in dark room. im not sure about this, i think i seen from some web or video that lasers will spoil the sensor, maybe some expert bros here will know whether true or not?

What do lasers have to do with this?

Instead of sparkles, people commonly use flash lights.

Read up on basic photography, it will really help you in the long run.

there is a video somewhere that shows 5d mark II failure because of lasers

or is it some other camera, you can easily google for it
