how did ppl did this photo collage??? cutting out the backgorund

you can see, the ppl are left, the background is gone, how did they did this??? they cut it out click by click???

can't view the photo..gotta register at the forum =p

But to cut out just the pple in the foreground..you can use the magnetic lasso tool in photoshop =)
