well.. thats the beauty of photoshop. anyone can be an artist. art for all.

i think its more than channel mixers and layer blending. There's alot of burning and dodging going on too. Digital masterclass!:thumbsup:

there's no way any amount of pure colour balancing, filters, etc etc will get you this effect.

If you ask me it's a lot of airbrushing too... look at those images with almost no background at all. No filter will do that, only good old brush tool and lots of patience...

We are short-changing the artist. Photoshop is just a tool. You need an eye for the composition and the skill and creativity to produce these art pieces - not to mention patience, colour sense etc... I don't think 'anyone' can be a pro.

Try to visit Indonesian fotografer.net, he is one of the jewel there...
His photoshop skill is:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
But if u notice the composition, location, and the details, notice that the RoL definetely not a fake one... And he has some location that he shot over and again...
Same spot, different objects, definetely need a lots of patience and an artistic sharp vision...

a lot of hard work, no doubt
since digital sensor is much more limited compared to film - and i guess no one will deny that, in terms of dynamic range, detail, etc in most cases
photoshop is part and parcel of producing a good image today

and no, with photoshop not everyone can be pro
you snapshot hand to a talented photoshopper
see what **** he can produce
after 10,000 years and 8000 wacom graphic tablets it will still be a snapshot

i find the comment about "photoshop anyone can be pro" quite degrading to the artist at hand
i think you'd find something more than just "good photoshopping" in his images
there is a certain vision and style in all of it
and defintiely some very strong AND fresh compositions
it might be entirely realistic all the time
but that is artistic license, i find this within tolerable limits
personally don't think this counts as "extensive manipulation" in my book

There are people in certain forums who try to duplicate his effects, but none has come close so far. There are suggestions that the gradient tool in PS is heavily used.

keeping in mind the other thread where people were laughing at other photographer's equipment
let this be a lesson that not just anyone can shoot

:thumbsup:i know of a fren who uses canon ixus and her shots are pretty good too. Compare to some others who have tens of thousands worth of equipment.
