Alderney on Hay:
http://www.hotelclub.net/hotel.reservations/Alderney_On_Hay_Executive_Apartments_Perth.htm

Quite a few online hotel booking offer this apartment, location not bad and got free parking (if you rent car).

Agree, you can check out http://www.accommodationwholesalers.com.au/ .. they have Alderney 2 bed room apartments for $140-145 a night, which is pretty cheap IMHO. The apartment comes with 2 bedrooms (1 room twin bed, 1 room double bed) and has a sofabed in the sitting room infront of the telly. Fitted with reverse cycle aircons. Other amenties include a full kitchen, washing facilities (washing machine and dryer).

Rooms are nice, well furnished and spacious.

Located at East Perth, there's a free CAT service to the city and one parking lot (with security patrols) allocated to each unit.

Here are some pics of the place, albeit taken in 2004.
Living + Sitting Room (Sofabed seen)

BedRoom 1 - Double bed with entrance to shower

BedRoom 2 - Twin beds

My opinion: One of the most value for money deals around.

Stayed there 6x already, loved it always!

It was great! Wished I could have spent a few more days there. Nice country, nice people, nice concierge at e hotel, even nice strangers! :bsmilie:

Although its my 1st time there, I can confirm wif U dat its kinda boring in winter. He he...
Juz becoz its oredi dark b4 6pm n all e shops is closed too. Nothing much to do at nite. Im bek at my hotel by 8pm after having dinner n asleep by 9 or 10pm. So basically e day is short during my stay there.

jus to share: don't go during X'mas period. 25th, 26th, street is practically isolated and shop closed. those few days, dinner is instant noodle n canned foods. (also rush to buy those food before X'mas). Chinese restaurant r closed too. only get to see ppl moving ard after 27th. and it gets really hot after X'mas eve. Day is long, sunset after 7.30 - 8 pm.
