Anybody tried making your own filters before?? Read from some books that home made filters are possible, but donno how to go about doing it man. Any of you care to share??:confused:
 

Erm, read on the net that you can do a soft-fous filter..
take a al-cheapo skylight/ UV filter, and lightly spray the inner side of the filter with black spray paint (?)
...

Never tried this though.

Umm... why re-invent the wheel (and end up with a low quality product too) when there are plenty of high-quality wheel makers out there? Generally, in photography, you get what you pay for... ;)
 

Heard of this:

use black pantyhose stretched over the lens to make a diffuse filter. Dunno if it works/works well. :)
 

I heard someone say he gonna try using a magnifying glass... anyone wanna try it out? :D
