Hey there bros!
I have been shooting for quite a while now,
but all along using an ultra old FE2 and a D70.
My grandpa handed down his D2x and 17-55 and 70-300 to me just yesterday!
I was firstly wondering with this 2 lenses, you think i'm up to shoot for F1?
I have tickets already... wondering if there is any specific lens needed for F1?
Thanks in advance!

Just practise shooting passing traffic with the D2x and the 70-300 first...

Once you're able to capture good shots, then you have some better idea. ;)

Your 70-300mm should be able to give you the reach. Just practice more on how to capture the cars in movement.

should be ok. :)

but more than just lens are needed to capture good shots.

Thanks there to all the bros.
I wanna ask if the 200 f/2 or the 70-200 f/2.8 is good enough?
I can always get it from my granddad for the event.
And from where i'm shooting lighting is abundant so i'm not exactly afraid of the light problem.
Any other comments or suggestions?
Keep em' rolling, thanks!

why not bring more..

you might also consider bringing a monopod.

those lenses you mention are pretty fast, you can consider borrowing it for the event. whether you like it or not, if the race is at night, lighting will be limited and you will want the luxury of additional options.

so nice of ur grandfather... I also want one...

Actually i'm standing above e pit.
Paddock club there. So alot of light... haha.
Yea, monopod.
Bro, there is one device to turn the camera.. anyone know what it is?
It's used for panning.
Oh thanks, my grandpa is an enthusiast. Hardly uses tele lens nowadays hence i'm able to borrow.
Anyone know of a good second bag?
I have a billingham 335 alr... i heard the fogg flute is good for a small bag.
Any suggestions?
No budget constrains.
