Hi guys, so new to this part of the world that I need some advice.

My G10 is terrible with low light conditions and am thinking of upgrading to a G12 but at the same time, need a fast cam to take pics of my boy.

So gurus, any recommendations for a PnS with 5 or more fps?

What kind of quality are you expecting from a low light condition? Any sample on the Internet you can find to show us your expectation? I doubt G12 can satisfy your requirement for good low light quality, given I own the S95 and has the same sensor as G12. Personally I don't expect much from pns when come to low light situation.

You want fast and responsive shooting experience, go for a DSLR.

the pns is more for wife actually but the 5fps is necessary.

the dslr will be too bulkty though- she already finds my g10 like a tank!

No offense, if low light is an issue, use a flash. G12 can do 4.2fps, good enough for u? Nikon p3000 can do 7fps

Canon S100 can do high speed burst of 9fps rate..

The downside is of coz, its fully auto, no control on user side.
Its good to do continous shooting with good light.. but will be challenging doing the same in low light..
