Hi guys, why can't i open my CR2 file on lightroom 3?

What camera are you using? I believe newer camera's raw (e.g. 70D, 700D) file cannot be opened in Lightroom 3. If so, the only way to workaround this is to convert them to DNG then open up in Lightroom 3

70D, I've already downloaded dng but i don't know how to use it, can u guide me through?

I haven't used the dng converter for ages.. But if I recall, it's a very simply launch the application, select your photos and convert.

I think you will need to install the latest Adobe camera raw for it to work.

Because old software cannot handle newer files. Why don't you upgrade LR? V5 is out, V6 should come soon. Upgrade is cheaper than full software price.
