1. in what area is critique to be sought?
Exposure, composition, framing and probably, background too?

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
The candid emotive shot from her.

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
An impromptu shot of my sister during an overseas trip!

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture.
Personally, I think more of the sky could be cropped out? my 2 cents worth heh.

honestly, i'm guessing it was pretty bright? she's like squinting? since it's impromptu you sure got her surprised. so exposure-wise... pretty much ok since she's your subject and she's properly exposed.

i'm thinking that you did some cropping already, but i'd leave it as it is.. or maybe crop a little sky out. the picture is too squarish.

and if your sister is those that love to throw tantrums.. i hope your sister doesn't have a clubsnap account :D

suggest the following;
1. make the horizon horizontal
2. reducing the exposure so that the highlights are not blown and the colours washed out
3. cropping away the top part of the sky which is overexposed
