I highly recommend 2 element dipoters rather than the single element type. Optical quality is better. The single element type is nothing more than holding an el cheapo magnifiying glass infront of your nice expensive lens.

anyone know how to get the space in between the glass pieces cleaned?
the moisture dried up leaving whitish specs...

If it is any thing like the Nikon close up filter/lenses there is a ring that unscrews on the front which holds the glass elements in place.

found the retaining ring. it has two grooves on either side but i have no idea of getting it unscrewed. doesn't seem to budge when i tried with small screw driver heads.
