I dropped my compact camera on ground 2 days ago.
After I turned it on, I couldn't capture pic, nothing was shown on the screen.
But my display pictures and menu functioning well.

Which part of my camera had spoiled? can anyone tell me?

sorry to hear about that.

But not sure anyone is able to tell what wrong with your camera from the way you described it, and tell you how to fix your camera.

why don't just send it to service center to diagnose and have it fixed?

Maybe the shutter button is broken? Dunno. Take it to your respective service centre.

Someone said it's fate since I'm going to get a SLR soon.
Who said so? The sales man of a camera shop in Sim Lim? :bsmilie:
Have the camera checked and see what the damage in terms of $$ is. Then decide...

Your best bet is to bring to the service centre to have it checked.
If repair bill is too ex, you can consider laying it down. :)

yay I'll try to get my compact camera fixed if the price of fixing is reasonable since other functions still working well.
