Hey guys I might be taking some photos of a floor ball tournament, just wanna know if the lens i have, a EF 28-90mm f/4-5.6 III will do the job? from what i see the nice 70-200mm is gonna set me back more money then i am worth lol ^_^

unless u are allowed to be at the courtside, u will end up capturing wide area shots. ur lens does not have enough zoom to capture close-up action.

Thanks dude, good to know what kind of shots im gonna expect. hope i am courtside

Thanks guys, yes how much is the Sigma do u know bro? and whats the speed?

it's not really about the range, and more about the speed if you want to take those action. For floorball, i think a minimum of 1/500 is needed. No choice pump ISO, and hope for the better. If not really no choice, take people receiving ball etc etc.

Just my 2 cents.

well if its a one off event, you can consider just renting a lens.. something like the 135 f/2L or 85 f/1.8 would do nicely for an indoor sport such as floorball..

Hey thanks alot guys, honestly I'm so glad i joined this forum :) Everyone is so helpful \m/
