Hi guys,

I need your advise. I tried cropping a picture and it says scratch disk is full. How do I get around this? I have assigned my disk to be on C: ... it was on start up. I reset my comp but it still doenst work. I have 15Gig avaialble space on my C:

Please help...

Thanks

Look into your application's option and see what's the limit you set for your scratch disk OR maybe you need to defrag your harddisk.

Your problem is harddisk and not the memory which you attempt to address by resetting.

Hope this help.

just increase your virtual memory, it shld do the trick

if you using PS, look under memory and image cache.. then increase accordingly

when you crop you must enter the unit like "cm" or "px"....

else photoshop would assume something really big and hence you would run out of scratch disk space.

Not sure if you have sorted out the problem but for me, when I encountered a full scratch disk in photoshop, I will go to Edit > Purge > Al l > ok

Hi,
I encountered this problem last week and searched the Internet for the answer.

For my problem, i accidentally specified 240 pixel/inch for resolution and this somehow makes the output crop to be very much bigger than my available memory and harddisk. I solved my problem by specifying nothing for that item.

Still have not figured out what that parameter means though... :embrass:

Hope this helps
