Help regarding studio lighting

I need some help regarding studio lighting. Anyone has got any good solutions for studio lighting kit to recommend? What about those sold by say ArtWorkFoto etc.?

You really need to provide more information on what you intend to shoot, what power you need, what kind of lighting you need, what kind of power you need, if you need the lighting to work outdoors, etc etc ....

It'll mostly be for indoor photo shoots. Standard 3 point lighting. Maybe 200-400 watts per head?

For continuous lighting, you can get a couple of red heads (600-650W tungsten). Get yourself a couple large pieces of thick foam sheets to use as reflectors. Tape black paper to one side, to be used as light cutters. If you have the budget, you can go for Kino Flo products. The Diva model is popular nowadays. If you are on a low budget, you can opt for fluorescent tubes. But you have to either get high flickr tubes, or lower your shutter speed to 1/50. Tagotech sells some fluorescent tubes and brackets and you really need to improvise to get what you need.


For Strobes:
These Elinchroms are very value for money now as they are on offer. Reliable, and nice lighting. They are on backorder, so put your order in with CP and get in line.

You can also use your current flash guns for a start. If you do not have any (or not enough), just get a couple more cheap Yongnuo flashes, and PT04 tiggers and fire away. Light boxes and light stands are quite inexpensive. You can get what you need at Artworkphoto or Tagotech or sgcamerastore, just to name a few.
