Hello all....

I am planning to go to pulau ubin this saturday with my fellows.
Any advice for us from those who went there before? :)

Is snorkeling/underwater photography possible?
which place to take sunset photography?
any photography spot that "nice to take"?

TIA people! ;) :)

Snorkeling/underwater photography is possible but not sure if you would get any good results.

oic.....
may i know why?
IIRC,IMHO, murky waters. visiblity not very good. limited sea life ? and heavy sea traffic. and the water not very calm compared to known diving sites long the south west areas.

Currently, Chew Jawa, one of the main attraction in Pulau Ubin is under construction.
However, during weekends, the construction will halt till monday, it starts again.
You'll see a "big locked gate", go to the side and you'll realise it's fake.
Follow the trail made by countless visitors and you'll reach Chew Jawa.
Check the papers for exact timing of low tide to view the wonders at Chew Jawa, and not disappoint yourself.

EXCLUSIVE!
If you're abit more adventurous, head to "Merbah" hut, IIR the name correctly.
Follow the trail beside the hut, up all the way to the peak of the quarry cliff.
You'll have a bird's eye view of the largest quarry in Pulau Ubin.
The trail up is rather confusing and tricky initially, and there're 2 cliff stops before you reach the highest cliff.
Just don't stop till you reach the actual cliff.

Have fun, and remember to bring telephoto lens, cause you might see hornbills.

go for da intertidal or da mongrove swamps shotz.

many shore creepy crawlies.

check da tide chart before ya go.
Git da lowest tide to see more things.:)

Do not apply any chemicals on ya body/legs as they are harmful for da creatures in da water there. Wear booties for ease of movement.
