help on borders and signature

Hi everyone.
I'm very new to photography, and is enjoying the photos posted by all members here.
I'm just curious which program is use to create the thick black borders and signature to the photos?

been searching around, but could not find programs that can do that.
Any advise is appriciated!

Also, a search on here or on Google will give you dozens of results. You can use everyhting from MS Paint all the way to Gimp and Photoshop.

there are tons of programs available to do this competently.
i use cs5 under canvas size to do it.
after that you can automate it and create borders in a batch.
go on and experiment, you will be able to master it soon.

well... photoshop can do it.

but it brings the next question, do u need one yet? its not easy to create a good signature, from my experience @animerenders.net, back when i was doing signature design and photoshop wars...

Try Photoscape, its one of the easier ones to use.
Its free.

Thanks all bro who reply, i have dl ps and gimp already. Gues the only way is read all the guide and try till i get my hand on it. . Thanks. . If anyone can offer a free tutorial by phone or msn, do drop me a pm.
