help needed in purchasing from japan

because i have friend from japan coming back in august he told me the dslr in japan are generally cheaper. so though of buying one.

what does it mean, does it mean it include the lens?

and the price guide when it say d40 kit. meaning the price is for the lens and body?

normally how long does a local warranty last? normally the camera won't spoil even after the warranty ends rite? cause don't think got international warranty...
