Help needed in Microsoft Word

Hi Guys,

I need a picture in a document as a background which was washed out and words being written on it. How to do it? any ideas? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks..

I think you may be refering to a watermark picture.

What you do is place the picture where you want it, then right-click and select format picture. Then click the picture tab and then under Image Control, in the colour drop-down menu, select watermark.

After that, you can open a text box over the picture and type what you want.

Thanks for your reply but I can't find the watermark which u have mentioned. Anyway, I wanted to put text in a document which has washout picture in the background That's all. But I still can't do it. Anyway, thanks again for your reply.

Format > Background > Printed Watermark

sounds like you might be better off using powerpoint to do this...

right click on picture>format>look for 'washout'

then just create a textbox and type in whatever you want.
