Help me decide

Hello all,
i am planning to buy an entry level digital camera and have a few offers.
can anyone tell me should i prefer fujifilm or sony?
I understand that Canon and olympus are the best (tell me if i am wrong) but most models are out of my budget.
Just want to know which is the name i can trust in entry level segment.

How much is your budget?
You may try Canon G-series, I think they will soon drop the price bec of the comming G5. Alternatively, you may try Nikon coolpix. It's all depends on your budget.

but i have a very small budget. I am looking for used cams at around 400 SGD. So i guess i dont have much of hope for G series. But i have offers for fuji and sony and I guess a new Canon A60 will cost around 400 too.
I am unable to decide.
I dont expect too much from the camera. So will a sony or Fuji be worth the money or are the mere 'toys' as some pros say?

Since you dont expect more from a cam, my advice to you is work on your budget. Dont get sony as much as possible, it's using mem stick which is a lot expensive compare to compact flash.

Or, Add a bit more on your budget (50$) and get 2nd hand A70. It's using Digic Technology and has a full manual controls.
