N night86mare Deregistered Aug 25, 2006 25,474 3 38 www.pbase.com Apr 11, 2010 #2 firstly, if your shot is done with flat lighting, and has no color, you have nothing to pop. something to take note of. for example, if you try to pop a photo taken on an overcast day you will end up getting ugly photos. that said, upping the contrast helps with "popping" colors, along with careful saturation.
