HELP ! Laptop crash

was typing on my laptop and i guess an electrical surge struck my extension plugs thus laptop went dead. the problem is now i could only use battery power as when i plug the cord to the laptop the power indicator blinks and refuse to powerup. ya i should call hp helpdesk but i got long questions from them haha. maybe its abt time i should change for a powerbook :sweat:

what is the cause of electrical surge ? if due to building maintenance or upgrading, you can claim your damage from them.
