Hi guys apologies if this is the wrong place to post. I'm having some trouble with my camera. I've been using the D90 kit and just got a 50mm 1.8 lens today. However, after fitting it on, i just can't seem to take pictures. the F stop reads F'EE' and can't seem to focus the camera as well.. can someone tell me how i can solve the problem?

appreciate your help guys.

You need to turn tha aperture to min like F22. Happy shooting.

Turn the aperture ring to F22 then rmember to push the lock button to lock it in place.

Make sure the aperture ring is manually set and locked at f22. If not u get the FE error msg display.

I tested D90 with 50mm F1.8 but didn't encountered this issue. So this is comment trick to lock the aperture ring at F22?

interesting. :dunno: never heard soemthing like tat b4.
on all Nikon DSLR, the aperture is control via command dial, when using AF-D lenses, it has a aperture ring, need to set at mini aperture to work properly on such cameras.
